RCMP have seized a submachine gun along with other weapons and ammo from a stolen ATV left abandoned in Warfield.
RCMP say they were called on May 11 to a report of a side-by-side off-road vehicle and gun being found in a wooded area near a popular bike path.
Officers recovered the vehicle, along with a shotgun, a submachine gun, ammunition, and other firearms related items. They say the ATV was stolen from the Slocan area. A forensic team will examine the items seized.
The matter remains under investigation.
