Wanted man caught in Trail area

A man wanted by Creston RCMP is in custody after evading capture for months.

Chad Meszarosi, 38, has been wanted by police for 32 different charges since early March.

“Creston RCMP are happy to report that Chad Meszarosi is now in police custody following a response to a call from the public in the Trail area,” stated Creston RCMP detachment commander Staff Sgt. Brandon Buliziuk in a release.

“We would like to thank the public and the Trail RCMP for their assistance and excellent response in locating Meszarosi. Our communities can now rest a little easier knowing that this dangerous offender is in custody.”

Meszarosi was wanted for breach of release order, assault, aggravated assault, firearm offenses, driving while prohibited, uttering threats, and more.
