Trip Pendy to join Trail Smoke Eaters

Forward Trip Pendy will join the Trail Smoke Eaters next season.

The team has announced the signing of the Brown University commit from Far Hills, New Jersey.

He’s a product of Delbarton high school and played USHS-Prep and 18U AAA hockey with the New Jersey Rockets. The 18-year-old had 42 goals and 87 assists for 129 points in 82 games this year.

“Trip is a high character individual that plays with pace in all three zones of the ice and he has a high end offensive skill set that our coaching staff is looking forward to working with next season,” Smoke Eaters GM and head coach Tim Fragle said in a news release.

“I want to thank Coach Fragle and everyone involved for this opportunity,” Pendy said. “I look forward to developing as a player but also a person. I am super excited for the upcoming season and look forward to everything Trail has to offer.”
