Trail Smoke Eaters add Corson Maguire

They’re out of the playoffs, but the Trail Smoke Eaters are already building for next season.

The Smokies have announced forward Corson Maguire has committed to them for next year.

Maguire, 18, from Toronto, is set to join the Smoke Eaters in the fall after an impressive season with the Bishop Kearney Selects U18 program where he put up 32 goals and 21 assists in 73 games.

Maguire also had a standout Circle K Classic tournament (formerly known as the Macs U18 tournament) in Calgary in December, where he finished ninth in tournament scoring with five goals and five assists in six games, helping the Selects win their group title.

“Corson has a high compete level and will bring a physical element to the team,” Smoke Eaters head coach Tim Fragle said in a news release. “He possesses a strong shot and has provided scoring at all levels.”
