The Slocan Valley is now officially on the world map of Spirit producers.
Kevin Goodwin – the owner-operator and chief distiller at Kootenay Country Craft Distillers near Winlaw- has just started making valhalla vodka.
He gave up working in construction four years ago to follow his dream.
He and his wife Lora have plans to make gin and whiskey too …all made from local ingredients including spring water from the Selkirks.
