KBRH could be in line for upgrades

The Regional Hospital in Trail could be in line for upgrades.
Interior Health is looking at improving the layouts of several departments at the facility.
Business Support Director Todd Mastel says that includes ambulatory care, emergency, and the pharmacy.
But he adds a regional planning process for major capital improvements is still two to three years away.
He says it doesn’t make sense to do a broad analysis and then wait, knowing there will be some time before plans can be executed.  The interim measure of looking at what they need to do at KBRH is the next step.
Mastel says there’s no point getting too deep into a regional study when provincial funding isn’t there.
