Castlegar Bike Skills group delighted with city support

It’s excellent news city council sees the vision of the Castlegar Friends of Parks and Trails.

So says the group’s President Mark Jennings after council decided to hand over $2,500 for the design cost of the Bike Skills Park slated for Millennium Park.

Jennings says they are prepared to meet with council in the new year as per their request to see the designs.

Jennings says they plan to break ground in the Spring on the project that could cost anywhere between $300,000 and $450,000.

He explains the cost could be alleviated by local contractors willing to volunteer their time and equipment.
