Grand Forks to allow solar off-sets for residents

Residents in Grand Forks could soon be able to off-set energy usage.

Council will look to pass a new Electrical Utility bylaw at their next council meeting to allow individuals with solar panels to sell energy back to the city.

City councillor Gary Smith explains this is not a way for home owners to make money off the City …but ….

The City of Nelson also offers residents a so-called net metering plan.

Grand Forks will vote on the new bylaw October 6th.
