Will kids be in school one week from now?

With no obvious sign the government and teachers are near a deal there’s no guarantee the doors will open September 2nd.

Paul Boscariol the President of the Nelson District Teachers Association says this is the time for a collective push from parents.


Mediator Vince Ready has said he can help the parties reach a deal but only if they’re close enough on the big issues.

Parents of children 13 and under will receive $40 a day from government if the teachers strike continues.
