Meth crime still unusual:Castlegar RCMP

Castlegar’s top Mountie says crystal meth-related crimes are still unusual in the community.

As we reported this week Aaron Welch was sentenced to nine years in prison for a violent attack while on the drug.

Sgt Laurel Mathew says there have been a few other cases but they remain rare.


Welch stabbed a man in the face with a pair of tin snips and stole his truck before bystanders and police intervened.
