Construction of Red Mountain’s snow-making project is already underway now that Rossland council said okay to taking water from Star Gulch reservoir.
It could add up to six weeks on the season – initially for the Red Mountain race team.
But Red Resort ‘s Don Thompson says there are longer term hopes as well.
Red will start making snow this winter as soon as the temperature allows.
