About 9% of all eligible voters in Trail have already cast a ballot in the pedestrian-utility bridge referendum.
Elections Officer Michelle McIsaac confirms that about 500 of the 5,500 voters on the list turned up Wednesday on the first Advance Day of polling.
Another Advance day goes next Wednesday with the main referendum on Saturday 23rd.
Residents are deciding if the Silver City should borrow almost $5-million dollars to add a walkway and extra utilities to the sewer bridge that could be built by the RDKB.
These extra elements would not involve a tax increase as it would be paid with annual Federal Gas Tax revenue.
