Smoky skies in the Boundary

Residents in the Boundary may be in for some more wildfire smoke and heavy at times.
But it’s not associated with any fires in this province.
The Ministry of Forests and lands says it’s coming from a wildfire south of the US border in northern Washington State.
The blaze is 40 hectares in size and is being tackled by Washington crews.
These smoky conditions could persist for a number of days.
BC’s Wildfire Management branch has responded to 32 wildfires in the Southeast Fire Centre since last week’s thunderstorms.
The majority of them have been small, spot-sized wildfires and none are threatening any properties or infrastructure.
