A local seniors advocate is happy her City of Castlegar-supported grant application through the Union of BC Municipalities’ age friendly program was successful.
Sandi McCreight says the grant is worth $25,000.
This will allow Castlegar’s Community Response Network to craft an age-friendly action plan and assessment.
McCreight hopes this will make Castlegar a better place for seniors.
She feels Castlegar does a good job taking care of its senior population but adds there is room for improvement.
