Trail’s La Cafamore String Quartet will have an easier time putting on shows thanks to a grant from the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance.
Manager Carolyn Cameron says they’ve received $2,500 through the alliance’s arts, culture and heritage fund.
She says this is a huge boost for the group as they operate on a tight budget.
The group is working towards a number of big shows including one pegged for Trail in June.
That’s a sample of their cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.
