Recovery efforts of a zinc mine in Alaska have yielded great results for Teck Resources’ Red Dog Operation.
Teck Trail’s Catherine Adair says this means the local smelter will see a steady supply of zinc for years to come.
This year’s production will range between 525,000 to 550,000 tonnes.
The increase is attributed to changes in mine sequencing and improved metallurgical recoveries.
