Smoke coming from northern BC wildfires

There’s haze in our skies but it’s not coming from any local wildfires.

Here’s South East Fire Centre Information Officer Jordan Turner.


He says the smoke could thicken before it’s expected to clear with a changing weather pattern.

There have been fresh spot fires from lighting in the East Kootenay but nothing new in our region.

Aerial monitoring continues following the thunderstorms in the West Kootenay and Boundary earlier this week.
