The Village of Salmo has won the Union of BC Municipalites award for best practices and organizational development and improvements.
Mayor Stephen White says the community excellence award recognizes some of the village’s hard work.
It’s meant to highlights the village’s professional improvements.
This includes rebuilding their central filing system, proper handling of personal information and administrative fairness in handling public service requests.
