The BCHL has altered their playoff format.
The Interior Division will see the most changes as all six teams now have a legitimate shot at being in the playoffs.
The first round will be the third place team versus the sixth seed while the fourth and fifth place teams square-off.
A crossover spot is available for a Mainland Division team should their fifth place team finish the regular season ahead of the Interior’s sixth place squad.
In that event the Mainland team would face the third seed form the Interior.
The top four Mainland and Island Division teams all qualify.
All series will be best of seven and the changes come into play in this year’s post season.
