This as the Kootenay Sufferfest Society has been approved for just over $20,000 in Columbia Basin Trust rec infrastructure funding.
Sufferfest president Janis Neufeld says two new trails will make the mountain easier for hikers to access.
She says work on the new trails is already underway.
