The Kinnaird Bluffs near Castlegar have new owners.
The Association Of West Kootenay Rock Climbers, through a number of funders, has successfully purchased the 17-acre property.
President Vince Hempsall says the group wanted to make sure the area stays in its natural state.
Hempsall says there are plans to run climbing workshops and courses in the near future.
