Castlegar RCMP are happy a standoff in Robson didn’t end with anybody seriously injured.
On Saturday morning they were called to Robson with reports of a woman damaging a home with an axe.
After negotiations with the 34-year-old failed RCMP tried to subdue her with a taser.
That didn’t work so a bean-bag gun was successfully deployed.
Sergeant Laurel Mathew says these measures aren’t taken often.
A nearby home was evacuated but no one else was hurt.
The woman appears in court for a bail hearing today.
