NDP leader makes local visit

Bring back some bargaining with teachers at the local level.

That’s the call from NDP leader John Horgan who’s been visiting our area as part of a province wide tour.

Horgan was speaking in Nelson. He describes the government’s stance in the current bargaining deadlock with teachers as “confrontational”.

One of his local messages was a well-repeated NDP call for an end to wholesale log exports from our region.

He says an NDP government would help entrepreneurs produce value-added wood manufacturing.
