Daily record temperatures were smashed across our region Monday as the heat wave continues.
Castlegar topped the lot with a high of 36.8 C. That’s almost two degrees hotter than the previous record of 35Â CÂ set in 1970.
Trail hit 36.3 C, Grand Forks 36 C and Nelson 34 C , all also daily highs for June 6th.
Chris Cowan with the South East Fire Centre weather office says this is an ongoing picture of record peaks this year.
Things will cool off by as much as 15 degrees come the weekend with possible showers.
