More local teachers join strike action

Kootenay Lake and Boundary teachers have been outside local schools Wednesday as part of province wide rotating one-day strikes ….and partial lock-outs.

LVR physics teacher Angie Mctague says they have to take a stand against under funding of the education system.

The government says teachers demands would equate to a total 20%  increase the province simply can not afford.

Teachers say this week’s government lock-out 45 minutes before and after school means they don’t have the time to address any student issues.
