A plan to build seasonal worker camps in the Creston Valley is forging ahead.
A plea has gone out to Creston area landowners requesting they offer up a section of their acreage to be developed into a camp.
The group spearheading the project has spent several years trying to develop the camps only to fall short in securing land.
Deb Nelius says it would be a lease-agreement.
It needs to be at least one acre and the only requirement is potable water.
Nelius says the workers request the camps are supervised and they’re willing to pay to stay.
