Plans to expand accommodation options at a Rec site on Kootenay Pass are in the works.
The Ripple Ridge Rec Association is looking at funding options to build a second cabin within the existing site.
President Mike Arlt says it’s a popular spot for back country enthusiasts on skis and snowshoes but its facing a growing demand.
Arlt says the second cabin would offer 67 % more space to folks wanting to access the year round destination.
The association estimates the total cost for the project at $50, 000.
