Nelson Christmas lights need proper planning

With plans in the works to rejuvenate Nelson’s Baker Street it makes sense to include how the expanding Christmas Lighting Project fits in to that.

So says councillor Deb Kozak who thinks the lighting groups’ efforts now need some professional design help.


The group wants a final $5,000 amount from a special city fund to get all of Baker Street lit.

Kozak says with some tree removals planned along with possible new amenity areas it’s in the interests of the whole community to do some proper planning.
