Local Lib candidate slams big Tory spending

The longest election campaign in Canada’s modern history is into its second week.

And with 10 weeks to go until election day, many parties are worrying that the extended campaign will eat up too much tax money.

Kootenay-Columbia Liberal candidate Don Johnston claims the deep pockets of the Conservative Party won’t hurt the local grits.

Johnston says the costs of the extended campaign are “unnecessary”.
