Finishing touches for Nelson skate park

Moves are well underway to apply the finishing touches to Nelson’s new outdoor skate park that was completed in the fall.

Ahead of what’s expected to be a busy summer season Sheila Hart from the Rotary Club of Nelson Daybreak says fundraising and grant applications will hopefully cover many things.

That will include seating for parents and all spectators.

 

A drinking fountain, storage shed and bike wash station are also on the list among all the partners including the Urban Systems Foundation and Youth Centre.

The skate park at Rosemont is being billed as a key destination asset.
