Too many BC One Cards at Trail & District Library

The City of Trail believes the high usage of BC One Library Cards at their facility is beyond what the scope of the program was intended for.

So says Councillor Robert Cacchioni as they’ve formed a committee that will make some recommendations to the province on how to resolve the issue.

Council is arguing the amount of cards being used at the Trail and District Library is a strain on their resources.

The BC One card is mainly for use by residents who are travelling.

They say there are approximately 1200 of the cards registered in Greater Trail with nearly 900 coming from Rossland and the Beaver Valley.
