Trail talking to minor sports groups on new fee rules

Trail’s Parks and Recreation is already opening lines of communications with area minor hockey teams over four months before pucks drops.

This as the City’s Recreation Fees and Charges Bylaw is being amended following the withdrawal of Warfield and the Beaver Valley from the shared service.

Director Trisha Davison says they want to make sure each group understands how this will impact them.

Teams that use Trail facilities will have to submit a roster showing where each player is from and if they have a sports pass.

However some minor hockey and soccer groups may be exempt.
