Ashram to show off $2 million project

Plans for a major construction project on Kootenay Lake are presented to the public Saturday.

The Yasodhara Ashram  yoga retreat and study centre near Kootenay Bay aims to replace its famous domed roof that was destroyed by fire last June.

The project is expected to cost up to $2 million. It will see a unique temple of light design featuring eight huge flower-like petals.

The public showing goes from 2-30 pm.
