Some exciting news ahead of a summer of skating and biking in Nelson.
City Council has approved $5000 from their annual CBT funding allocation to go towards a Skatepark Ambassador Program.
The Nelson District Youth Centre will handle it.
Manager Christine Schmidt says on-site staff will have first aid training and be able to call for emergency help if needed …but there’s more.
She adds the ambassadors will ensure all user groups at the skate and bike park have a positive and safe experience.
