Police locked down Trail as precaution:RCMP

RCMP in Trail want to err on the side caution when it comes to incidents involving schools.

This from Corporal Darryl Orr after St. Michael’s Elementary and J.L Crowe Secondary were locked down Friday afternoon.

There were concerns about possible gunshots in the area of the schools but it turned out to be youth setting off fire works.

However, Orr says in this day and age you can’t take any chances and they have members that are specifically trained for these situations.

Orr says the incident lasted about 30 minutes.

He adds police have warned the youth but any discipline would come from the schools.
