A COVID-19 outbreak in the second-floor surgical unit at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail is over.
Interior Health says the outbreak ended July 15. There were a dozen cases. The first case was identifed on July 1 and the outbreak was declared a few days later.
During that time, infection prevention and control measures were in place including enhanced cleaning and disinfection, use of personal protective equipment, and keeping ill visitors away from the unit.
