Missing antlers sought in Warfield

A woman who lost her father recently is hoping to recover some of his antlers after they were accidentally given away.

A couple of weekends ago, Jocelyn Parker was cleaning up her late father’s home across from Zee Crepes in Warfield. A tub of antlers in a blue Rubbermaid container was put out with some other items in a free pile.

She realized the mistake that night, but when she returned, the tub was gone. She’s hoping to recover some of the trophies, because they have special meaning to her.

Her father, Daniel De Biasio, was born and raised in Castlegar and was a hunter his entire life.

“These antlers were on his trophy wall and we wanted to give them to our kids as a keepsake, and now we can’t find them,” Parker said. “It just has massive sentimental value to our family.”

Parker said each of De Biasio’s four grandchildren was hoping to get a set of antlers to remember him by.
