Police seek to identify tire thief

Castlegar RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance to identify an alleged tire thief.

Police alleged that at approximately 3:57 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, the photographed suspect approached a parked Hyundai Sante Fe at Glacier Honda, located at 1602 Columbia Avenue.

As the suspect nears, he is seen on video approaching the vehicle and crouching by the rear passenger tire.

The suspect is then seen departing northbound with the vehicle’s tire in hand. The tire is described as a 20-inch Continental.

If anyone has information, or can identify the suspect, please contact the Castlegar RCMP non-emergency line at 250-365-7721.
