Three Castlegar residents have been arrested for alleged drug trafficking after Castlegar RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, with support from general duty officers and police dog services, executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 1300 block of Columbia Avenue on April 4.
Upon execution of the search warrant three occupants were located on the property, a 47 year old male, 46 year old male, and 31 year old female, who were taken into police custody without incident.
Investigators seized a quantity of drugs believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine along with Canadian Currency and other items consistent with the trafficking of illicit drugs.
In addition, police located property that had recently been stolen from a Castlegar business.
All three individuals were later released from police custody as police continue their investigation.
The matter will be forwarded to the Public Prosecution Services of Canada for full charge assessment.
