Beaver Valley Nitehawk earned this week’s Young Guns selection

Brady Magarrell of the Beaver Valley Nitehawks earned this week’s Young Guns selection following a two goal, four point performance in two games.

The Coaldale, Alta., native had an assist in their 4-3 loss to the Grand Forks Border Bruins in Game 1 of their Neil Murdoch Division Final on March 14. Then the 6-0, 165-pound forward had two goals and an assist in their 8-7 loss in Game 2 on March 15.

“Brady is a shifty, relentless skater and is always around the net,” said Nitehawks head coach-general manager Terry Jones.

“I think he’s one of our most talented players. Brady has got a great release, but his shiftiness and touch around the net makes him an important cog on our team and I just thought he was terrific.”

Magarrell finished the KIJHL Teck Cup playoffs with four goals and seven points in eight games.
