KBRH Health Foundation launches new fundraising campaign

The Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) Health Foundation has launched its new and ambitious initiative: the Mental Health Matters Campaign.

The campaign aims to raise $2 million to improve and support mental health services and facilities in the Kootenay Boundary.

A press release from the KBHR Health Foundation  states that the initiative is dedicated to revitalizing mental health services at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) and its associated facilities, with the goal of significantly enhancing patient care, ensuring safety, and supporting community reintegration.

The campaign will focus on critical upgrades in three essential areas: the Daly Pavilion, Harbour House, and the Pediatric Outdoor Space—each providing unique and vital support to mental health patients of all ages across the region.

It will offer opportunities to upgrade critical infrastructure, provide modern medical equipment, create trauma-informed spaces, and develop therapeutic environments—all of which will ensure compassionate, patient-centred care is available to individuals of all ages.
