Rebels announce Alex Evin as interim Head Coach

The Castlegar Rebels have announced Alex Evin as interim Head Coach for the remainder of the 2024/25 hockey season, after parting ways with Nick Headrick in a press release yesterday.

Rebels Executive Board says Alex’s extensive experience and abilities make him the ideal candidate to lead our team in pursuit of our objectives for the remainder of the season.

“I am happy to join the team for the remainder of the season and help the Rebels organization finish strong both on and off the ice.” said Alex Evin.

Meanwhile, the Rebels Executive Board thanked Nick for his dedication and hard work over the past six seasons and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

“This was a difficult decision, but we believe it is in the best interest of the team moving forward. We are committed to finding a head coach who can continue to nurture and expand our program, ensuring sustained progress and achievement.”

The Rebels will face Kelowna tonight at home.
