Cominco Arena floor replacement contract awarded

Cominco Arena’s Refrigerated Floor Replacement is one step closer with Reward Constructions Ltd being handed the $1,894,000 contract.

Trail Mayor Colleen Jones says they aim to have the project completed by October, just in time for the hockey season to kick off and other exciting events for the city.

“We want to make sure it’s done in place and ready to go before the BC Winter Games in February of 2026 and then we have the City of Trail’s 125th anniversary coming up. Lots of exciting events are coming for our community.” said Mayor Jones

“So, I think that it was a really big proposal put forward and accepted by council, knowing how important it is for our community.”

In addition, Council will supply the installation of associated dasher board infrastructure to Athletica Sport Systems Inc., with a base price of $729,000 plus all applicable taxes, fees, and charges.
