Rossland responds to housing needs crisis

Housing affordability and availability has been identified as a growing concern in Rossland, now Council has launched their housing needs assessment residential survey to get a clearer picture.

Mayor Andy Morel is urging residents to take part in the survey and share your challenges with housing and where you see opportunities to address your housing needs.

“Hoping for a good response, it’s important these days that our communities support those surveys to allows us to seek funding support from the province and the federal government.” said Mayor Morel.

“Your input will directly inform the housing needs assessment and influence recommendations for the housing action plan.”

These reports will be tools to guide Staff, Council, and key interests in creating housing solutions that are responsive to the evolving needs of the residents of the City of Rossland to ensure there are sufficient housing options in Rossland to meet the full spectrum of needs found in the community.

This survey will be open from January 6 until midnight on January 31. The survey will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

You can find the survey online or you can pick up a paper copy from City Hall.
