Rebels defeat Leafs at home

The Castlegar Rebels won their only game of the weekend over the Nelson Leafs at home.

Kwentyn Oss led the Rebels with a hat-trick, while Carter Peters scored the winner with his fifth goal. Mason Hillier made 37 saves to earn his second win.

Meanwhile, the Beaver Valley Nitehawks split their results over the weekend, with two losses and one win.

The Nitehawks fell short against the Grand Forks Border Bruins 4 to 1, before bouncing back Saturday night to down the Nelson Leafs 6 to 2, but Beaver Valley couldn’t keep the wins coming on Sunday when they met the Spokane Braves.

Ollie Clements scored his 10th goal for the Nitehawks in the 5-4 loss.
