Transport truck rolls over prompts emergency response with loss of fuel

Trail and Greater District RCMP, Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue, BC EHS, and YRB responded to a report a transport truck had rolled over into the ditch on the side of Highway 3B, in Rossland, on Monday, November 11 at 6:20am.

The 29-year-old Edmonton man driving the transport truck was apparently uninjured at the time of the incident.

“He reported that he lost control of his truck due to the icy slush on the surface of the highway. Fuel from the vehicle leaked onto the roadway which required a dedicated clean up by responders.” said Trail RCMP.

“Trail RCMP, as well as other detachment, responded to other motor vehicle incidents over the weekend, believed to be associated to winter road conditions. Please drive according to conditions and make sure you have good winter tires on your vehicle, says Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.
