Watermain flushing in Downtown, West Trail, East Trail, Sunningdale and Tadanacon Monday

The City if Trail is notifying residents starting tomorrow, Monday, November 4, between 4:00 AM and 7:00 AM, Public Works will begin flushing the watermains in the Downtown, West Trail, East Trail, Sunningdale and Tadanac areas.

Water main flushing is a necessary maintenance technique used to clean and disinfect the water distribution pipes, and to maintain proper water flow and quality.

During the flushing process discolored water may be experienced for short periods.

If you do experience discolored water run your cold tap (preferably outside tap) until the water comes out clear.

Discolored water is normal during this process and is not a health hazard.

Please direct all questions to: City of Trail’s Public Works Department 250-364-0840, or to [email protected]
