UPDATED: Missing Trail man successfully located

Updated story, October 30, 9:00 a.m.:

Trail’s Karel Bursik, who was reported missing by RCMP Tuesday morning, has been safely located.

Trail RCMP say they located Bursik in Osoyoos on Tuesday afternoon and thank the public for their their assistance which helped lead to this successful conclusion.

Original story, October 31: 

Trail and Greater District RCMP is requesting assistance from the public in locating 60-year-old Trail man, Karel Bursik.

Police have been looking for Bursik since October 22, without success.

Bursik is known to hitchhike and visit Grand Forks. Sometimes Bursik will use taxis to travel between cities. He may have also travel in and around Nakusp.

Bursik is described as a Caucasian male, 6 ft tall, with grey hair and a ponytail. He is usually well dressed with no teeth, has a German accent, and likes to talk about war.

If you have seen Bursik, or know his whereabout, please contact the Trail Detachment at 250-364-2566, to speak to an investigator.
