Columbia View Lodge Palliative rooms ready to renovate

The Greater Trail Hospice Society (GTHS) has taken on the challenge of completely renovating the two Community Palliative Rooms at Columbia View Lodge (CVL), and they are working with the KBRH Health Foundation to make it happen.

Locals are invited to help create a haven of comfort for patients and their families during their end-of-life journey, as fundraising efforts begin.

This major upgrade will include new flooring, beds, mattresses, lighting, fresh paint, window coverings and even a nutrition cart for added convenience for family members.

“Our Hospice Volunteers often support people in these two palliative rooms and they noticed that the rooms themselves were in need of care. They brought this to the attention of our GTHS Board who set about partnering with CVL and the KBRH Health Foundation to envision what was possible.” said Brenda Hooper, Trail Hospice Chairperson.

“Fundraising and planning are underway for this $90,000 project and we are already halfway to our goal!”

Your support can help make this vision a reality.

The Greater Trail Hospice Society appreciates the support of both the KBRH Health Foundation and Interior Health and is proud to collaborate on this crucial project.
