Kootenay-Columbia School District wants input on strategic plan

You’re invited to have your say on School District 20’s new strategic plan for the next five years.

The Kootenay-Columbia School District is holding four public engagement sessions, encouraging both parents and the broader community to attend and their say.

“In addition to sharing key information, we look forward to hearing your thoughts, questions and ideas,” says SD20.

Each public session the district with share a brief presentation on current successes and challenges, public education’s guiding mandate, emerging priorities and draft plans for action.

Attendees’ will also be asked to engage and share their perspective.

Such as:

  • What are you curious/need to know more about?
    • What areas do you believe require more or less emphasis?
    • What is missing in order for the board to fulfill its mandate?
    • How effective is the SD20 draft “roadmap” in creating the foundations for future actions and decisions?
